about

These short tracks, were created in the mornings, before heading out to the studio to work on The Great Deceiver, back in 2009. I was experimenting with really weird, creepy and noisy sounds, eventually resulting in this, the Throe EP.

Originally only available to those who preordered The Great Deceiver, and now finally made available publically.

The artwork was created around the same time, by the late Bryce Edsall (The Unraveling Mind, The Great Deceiver)

about

Mortiis Oslo, Norway

Joined Emperor 1991.
Fired from Emperor on grounds of a "bad attitude" late 1992.
Formed Mortiis next day.
Planned recordings in Transylvania 1993.

Released several solo albums in the 90´ies & weirding out the music industry with his prosthetic mask.
Oh those yonder days of media hypocrisy.
Became band. Band died.
Broke ribs, dreams and industry shackles, but remained free.
