The Great Deceiver

XUN Straight into your face old school sounding industrial punch. The album I regular get back to. This was definitely not what I was expecting after 'Perfectly Defect', but Mortiis every time teach us to expect the unexpected. Favorite track: Demons are Back.
Laurent GENOT
Laurent GENOT thumbnail
Laurent GENOT Very deceptive, as I can't stop listening to it, as if it was a compilation of 30 noisy years in only one album. Straight and efficient! Favorite track: Feed the Greed.

vividred Independent is the way to go, this sounds Mortiis nothing to prove. Straight forward good songs. Favorite track: The Ugly Truth.

DJ Skeletal Great album through and through. It's very reminiscent of old Ministry or 'Downward Spiral' era NIN. I love the evolution and development of Mortiis' sound over the years, and who knew he could sing like this?!? One of my top favorite albums of 2016. Hope to see more coming soon! Favorite track: Doppelganger.

about

Mortiis Oslo, Norway

Joined Emperor 1991.
Fired from Emperor on grounds of a "bad attitude" late 1992.
Formed Mortiis next day.
Planned recordings in Transylvania 1993.
That did not happen.
Released several solo albums in the 90´ies & weirding out the music industry with his prosthetic mask.
Oh those yonder days of media hypocrisy.
Became band. Band died.
Broke ribs, dreams and industry shackles, but remained free.
