Winter Ov Thanatoz A beautiful beginning to a very dark subgenre that is continuing to grow. A very creative beginning for Mortiis

deathevokation666 Excellent ambient music from early 1990s remastered bringing forth melancholic vibes without melodrama. Worth owning whether you're a long time fan or a new fan, and a great collectors edition!

XUN Have no words to describe how addictive this song is, but I guess, I need 10-hour version, because so tired to press repeat. (in better quality)

panzerdivision The repetitive nature of this demo is absolutely hypnotic in it's execution, repeatedly washing over you like some kind of mystical tide from a forgotten time. I have been listening to this for years and years and like all era1 Mortiis it stands up to repeated listening and I highly recommend it. This remaster is particularly noteworthy as it has a much improved clarity of sound and a greatly increased volume in comparison to previous releases. If you have a soul then it will be touched by this.

about

The early 1993 recording that, arguably, started the movement that came to be known as Dungeon Synth.

Originally released as a demo more than 25 years ago, this mythical recording has been carefully restored and remastered by Jules Seifert at Epic Audio London, in close collaboration with Mortiis.

Inspired by the mysterious original demo artwork, art collaborator David Thierree, has once again faithfully interpreted Mortiis' visions for the cover artwork.
