The original "creator" of dungeon synth has returned with this album (which as far as I know is a remake from the second album Ånden som Gjorde Opprør). The chanting vocals in the background make the album feel sinister and dark, in a good way.
Favorite track: A Dark Horizon.
I never thought I'd actually get to see Mortiis playing his old style live, but I did! Him and the line up of other bands that played that night make one of the best concerts I've ever seen! This album seems to add a new dimension to his older style somehow, which is quite a feat!

The undisputed inventor of dungeon synth, MORTIIS, is set to unleash new music unto the world in form of a release entitled“Spirit Of Rebellion” - a re-interpreted expansion and continuation of the 1994 Era I classic “Ånden som Gjorde Opprør”.
The godfather of dungeon synth comments:
"I had to fend off a lot of demons to get to this point. But here we are.”

In my reality, this is a different record entirely.”

That did not happen.
Released several solo albums in the 90´ies & weirding out the music industry with his prosthetic mask.
Oh those yonder days of media hypocrisy.
