panzerdivision Want to journey to distant lands of wonder? Do you have a hart that craves adventure? Dose your soul yearn for something unfathomable? Then look no further as you are about to embark on a voyage like no other. I have listened to this work repeatedly over and over again for more than twenty years and it just never ceases to move me in ways that little else can. This remaster is particularly worthy of your attention due to the greatly improved clarity and volume. The greatest from the greatest. Favorite track: En Mørk Horisont.

Matt A Mortiis has always been a distinctive figure in the world of black metal/ambient, ( I always loved the "things that are not true about Mortiis" on his old website), but there's no questioning the atmosphere of these early works, and the new "Dungeon Synth" genre wouldn't exist without them. This one's my favorite; majestic and wintry. And I have always thought the nose and ears were cool.

jimmy379 This album speaks to me in ways I simply cannot describe! It just takes you to another place, time and dimension! It is exquisite! Peaceful, yet with a slightly sinister undertone!

Brand new, exclusive artwork by renowned French artist David Thierree. The art concept was developed by Mortiis and Thierree, based on an idea where the viewer sees the original "scenario" from different angles, further expanding on the universe of Mortiis.

Mortiis Oslo, Norway

Joined Emperor 1991.
Fired from Emperor on grounds of a "bad attitude" late 1992.
Formed Mortiis next day.
Planned recordings in Transylvania 1993.
That did not happen.
Released several solo albums in the 90´ies & weirding out the music industry with his prosthetic mask.
Oh those yonder days of media hypocrisy.
Became band. Band died.
Broke ribs, dreams and industry shackles, but remained free.
